This is very much an ongoing project for me at the moment, but I’ve uploaded a few of the images I’ve taken recently on the theme of urban regeneration onto the website socialdocumentary.net.
Over the past four years I’ve written a lot about this subject. So a couple of months ago I started taking my camera and audio recorder to visit individuals who are living through taxpayer-funded schemes aimed at tackling what the government calls “unsustainable communities”.
They are certainly unsustainable by the time these programmes get underway.
