I am a Manchester-based freelance journalist, writing features and supplying images and multimedia content to newspapers, magazines and websites.
A reporter and editor with six years’ experience, I have worked independently since 2006, focusing mainly on social affairs, education and culture.
At home, I have covered court, accompanied police on drug raids, spent days inside prisons and carried out investigations on issues including asylum, regeneration and the sex trade.
Abroad, I have met hard-line Jewish settlers in the West Bank, visited homeless shelters and slum education projects in India and written about sustainable tourism in Africa.
Past clients include Action Aid, BBC, The Guardian, The Independent, The Sunday Express, Inside Housing, New Start, The Big Issue in the North and Marie Claire.
I am a member of the National Union of Journalists.
