  At first I thought, ‘Oh, that’s a bit cramped and cruel’ and then I remembered that chickens produced on an industrial scale in the West sit in the dark and in their own poo for 35 days before being slaughtered to make pink goo that goes into fried nuggets.

  well yes. i think sadly though for these chickens, they were being transported to certain death.
